Child Safety Standards
Zero tolerance: Hot or Not Takes strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors.
Our Commitment
Hot or Not Takes is an anonymous opinion voting app published by FireThink Studios. We are committed to maintaining a safer environment for users and complying with applicable child safety laws and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
Target Audience
Hot or Not Takes is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
We strictly prohibit:
- Any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
- Content that sexualizes, grooms, exploits, sextorts, or endangers minors.
- Solicitation, promotion, sharing, or attempted exchange of CSAM or CSAE-related content.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks.
- Sharing personal information or attempting to contact users outside the app.
Safety Measures
Content Moderation
- User-submitted content is screened through server-side moderation.
- Suspicious content is blocked or held before it reaches other users.
- Flagged content is reviewed and removed when it violates these standards.
User Safety Features
- The app has no usernames, profiles, direct messaging, or user-to-user contact tools.
- Users can open Safety & Reporting in the app menu to report inappropriate content or child safety concerns.
- Users can contact the child safety point of contact directly for CSAE, CSAM, or child safety concerns.
Reporting and Response
Users can report unsafe or inappropriate content from within Hot or Not Takes by opening Safety & Reporting from the app menu and contacting the child safety point of contact.
Reports are reviewed promptly. Content that violates these standards is removed, and we take further action when necessary.
CSAM Handling and Legal Compliance
When suspected CSAM or CSAE is identified, FireThink Studios will remove the content, preserve relevant evidence as appropriate, cooperate with lawful requests, and report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or other appropriate authorities as required by law.
